At the age of 20, Chandragupta married his first wife – Durdhara. Daughter of his maternal uncle, she was the main consort of Chandragupta Maurya. He then married Helena, a Greek Princess at the age of 40. She was the daughter of Seleucus Nicator.
Conspiracy theories also highlight that Chandragupta married the daughter of Dhana Nanda but there are neither folk tales nor historical evidence to prove the same. As the Samrat, he might have many wives and/or concubines but there are no documents that can give us the details.
