The original CSI series aired in October of 2000 and went on for 15 seasons. This hard-hitting drama centers around a team of criminologists as they use forensics to solve mysterious deaths.
The series rests on a basic murder-mystery plot, but it’s anything but boring as the team uses forensic science to solve the mysteries. There’s plenty of tension between the characters to keep things from getting too pedestrian.

4. Criminal Minds
Another great police procedural thriller series, Criminal Minds ran for 15 seasons. The TV show revolves around the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit.
The series follows a group of profilers who use their skills to catch criminals through behavioral profiling. The show focuses less on the crimes and more on the difficult lives of the profilers as they do their jobs.
5. Magnum, P.I.
This oldie but goodie starred Tom Selleck as the main character, Magnum. Magnum lives a luxurious life in the guest house of a wealthy writer, ostensibly serving as security.
Magnum solves crimes, comes and goes in a borrowed Ferrari, and is an affable and likable character.
