The people are horrified because there can be another Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid issue when such political advertising happens in the name of Ram Leela.
But in modern days – there is no difference between Ram and Ravan – one putting his wife into fire and the other abducting in many cases. If after few centuries the hardcore Hindus are going to burn Ramji instead of Ravan, there will be no problem to either Ram or Ravan.
So when it comes to blasphemy we can promise to Muslims too. They can also go for another Babri Masjid, why not? After all, it’s only about promises which we are going to maintain after our political advertising is over. This kind of advertising has now become an industry itself.
Whenever we are highlighting Hindutva or Manohar Parikkar backed pseudo patriotism we can also put few due emphasis on radical directions of Ram and Ravan who are remembered for their genuine actions to establish world peace at least. I am too proud for PeeCee or Piggy Chops because she has become the real brand in Hollywood.
