In an age when the world is increasingly divided, Dr. Amarjit Kaur Doowa—lovingly known as Dr. Karen—emerges as a rare guiding light of peace, unity, and spiritual awakening. Born in Thailand, rooted in Indian Sikh heritage, and spiritually nurtured across continents, she embodies the message she tirelessly shares: Ek Onkar – One Supreme Soul, One Human Family.
For nearly three decades, Dr. Amarjit has served as a universal spiritual guide, educator, Sikh religious leader, Brahma Kumaris teacher, humanitarian worker, and a compassionate mentor to communities across Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, Canada, and America. Her spiritual journey began with a deep, sincere yearning for truth—a search that eventually led her to teachings of Gurbani, global interfaith dialogues, and the spiritual path of Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga.
A Life Rooted in Learning, Service & Spiritual Depth
Academically accomplished, Dr. Amarjit holds a PhD in Philosophy (Ayur Yoga) from the USA, a Master’s in Education from Australia, a PG Diploma in Health & Counselling from India, and a Diploma in Business Administration from Thailand. She is also a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Indonesia’s UIPM, affiliated with the United Nations.
Her research—“Effect of Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Meditation on Happiness and Life Satisfaction”—has been widely appreciated, including at Shantivan, Mt. Abu, where she was honored for her contribution to global spiritual education.
Yet, beyond the degrees and accolades, it is her service that defines her. Since the Tsunami days, she has actively contributed to worldwide disaster relief through United Sikhs. For the last decade, she has been supporting over 100 slum children in Bangkok, ensuring they receive education, food, and opportunities to rise above poverty.
Her home in Bangkok hosts the beloved Guru Kripa Meditation Classroom, a sanctuary where seekers from all backgrounds learn meditation, spirituality, and inner healing.
