Big shots of corporate are now making a retrospection on the most debatable question of our time – How to enhance the happiness quotient in the minds of the employees? An employee should always be happy and contented at work, that’s the issue. Punchlines like “work here is a fun” are getting obsolete because no one hires you for your betterment and a worker cannot just be treated as a Mughal Emperor. No royal treatment on tarrot card.

People usually work because they are helpless and money is a desperate need to meet different financial obligations. What’s again good if you get a promotion & divorce at the same time? I may not enjoy my new car if I have some musculo-skeletal injuries on my back due to long awkward postures of working before a personal computer at office. This kind of fun orientation is less effective.

We need to chalk out something far ahead of materialism where an employee just feel like God. We need to adopt the concept of work-oriented strategy rather than sticking to old values of action orientation. But we again get difficulty when we never think about the fruits of our deeds. Can I be serious about work if am not action oriented? How to stay indifferent in both victories and losses-another critical issue?

The clear cut answer to all these human blunders is adopting “Karma-Yoga at Work Dynamics”. This metrics will make an employee well trained as well as well-educated and is a kind of new expectation management theory which is ready to neutralise the laws of rising expectations. Software companies have converted the training halls into multi-purpose utility halls, where these kinds of spiritual discourse can be meditated. Om breaks are now more popular over tea and cigarette breaks at offices. Activities like outdoor sports, picnic parties, late night disco tours, games, seminars and lectures are dominating in the training agenda.

Hence the organizations should create more organization commitment within an individual which can be done by including the following Nishkama Karma strategies in the balanced score cards of employees:

  • Cultural shift towards the mechanism of work is much needed. The working style should be more process based rather than result based. Unlearning and learning-both are complimentary and supplementary to each other. Hence both the theories need to be adhered at the same time.
  • An employee should enjoy his profession rather than thinking always about the end results of the day-to-day work assignments.” Love your job”-that’s the spirit.
  • Material success will automatically follow if we do excellent work in many cases. It’s a memorable journey towards thriving perfection and excellence at the same go.
  • We need to create more humbleness at work. Employees should pay obligations to each other. It’s just an automation process where no one has got any individual identity .As long as we are in the flow, we would progress like an ocean. Even people like Newton and Dr.APJ have understood this truth. So they became successful in creating their own identities. We need to walk in each other’s shoes.
  • Since a human being can neither create nor can destroy a single piece of salt grain even. So running too much after money at the cost of mental and physical peace should be discarded. We need to learn from Indian festivities. It depicts happiness. Be happy-be proactive. Keep you life in auto mode. Everything will come to you at right time. Patience is the mother of all virtues-hope the employees haven’t deleted his tagline from the memories.
  • In the name of a father a son. Hence each of your work should be offered to God. He is the final judge who’s going to giving a finale verdict in every crush and crux.
  • There should be sense of gratification. Let’s give it to everyone in our life. We need to act as humans not robots.
  • Sometimes you are the bread winner and sometimes you face unfavorable situations at work. It’s natural. Be cool. Stop overthinking. Be boyish and light hearted sometimes.
  • Gymming can be adopted as an amateur activity for the lovaholics, may not be like Salman Khan but can stay fit and fine always to face crisis and adversity.
  • We need to be versatile readers to expand our horizons and enjoy better work-life. Just enjoy yourselves.
  • Giver or User –choice is yours. Spend sometimes with the needy too. Do something for the vulnerable segment of society. Damn sure, you get a true sense of joyful living.
  • What is this life, if love is gone. Love the animals. Love yourself and everything you have in your life. Spend some quality time with God too. Include this in your food menu. Get it served unlimited.

Get away and just do it! Circle is always half. Escape.
