Hema Malini is absolutely brilliant… BRILLIANT I tell you.
She has totally nailed it with her solution on how to prevent loss of life in case of fire when she spoke about the Kamala Mills mishap.
Problem: People are trapped in a fire and die.
Root Cause Analysis by a Normal Person:
– Why did the people die? Because they were trapped and couldn’t escape to safety
– Why were the people trapped? Because there was no escape route
– Why was there no escape route? Because the place did not adhere to Fire and Safety Regulations as prescribed
– Why did they not adhere to the regulations? Because they ignored it or were unaware of it
– Why were they not made to adhere to regulations by regular auditors and administrators? Because “under the table”
Solution: Suspend the Auditor, ensure that Fire and Safety Regulations are strictly followed by all concerned establishments. Suspend license if regulations are not adhered to. Fine the place where this mishap happened appropriately to the highest extent to set a warning for others.

With brains like these I wish Hema Malini enters politics, joins BJP and becomes a MP so that she can implement her ideas……. Oh wait…… ?
Disclaimer: I wish BMC had come up with this idea way back in the 70s and restricted the population coming into Mumbai……. Not that we would have saved many lives but we definitely wouldn’t have had a Hema Malini giving us these bright ideas today.
