You have to find a price that will cover all expenses plus margins that will result in profit. Prices should be coordinated with the value of the product. Moreover, before shipping, it is quite necessary that you are aware of the freight class of your product. In case the class selected is not correct there are chances that the transporter moving your item will reclassify it and add extra dollars to your bill. 

Market research

Getting to know your competitors is another thing you MUST do before picking a product to sell. You can do it very easily by doing extensive research on Google. If you’re lazy and have some bucks to spare, you hire a professional market analyst to do the job for you. You’ll get it done in no time.

Marketing

Marketing is one of the most important things in business. Poor marketing can lead to a failed product. Even if your product is the best in the world and there is nothing like it anywhere, it would be worthless without marketing. It lets your product stand out among the competitors. Also, it pushes your product into the world of consumers. If your marketing is good, your sales number is going to skyrocket. On opposite, if it’s bad – it will get worse. That’s how important marketing is. You can never bounce back from bad marketing.

Knowing what kind of products you want to sell is a complicated process. Once you establish the concept of your products, the only thing you need to do is to be persistent and believe in them. Building a business will take a lot of sacrifice, time, money and mostly patience.
