All About UDAN Scheme: The Knowhow of the Route and The Booking Sites to Avail Affordable Air Tickets!
Launched on April 27, 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the scheme aims to connect unserved and underserved airports of India with maximum Rs. 2500 for an hour journey on an aircraft or for a 30 minute journey on a chopper.
The scheme aims to connect 70 airports of the country over 20 states and Union territories including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Puducherry. The airports that would connected under the UDAN scheme includes Shimla, Nanded, Bhatinda, Bilaspur, Neyveli, Kadapa and Cooch Behar.
At present, UDAN flights with cheap air fares are available on Delhi-Shimla, Kadapa-Hyderabad and Nanded-Hyderabad sectors.
