In the serial Ishqbaaz, it is time to celebrate as Priyanka is getting engaged to Dev Chabbra. However, there is a slight twist.
This twist will be brought up by Shivaay Singh Oberoi and he will eventually break Priyanka’s engagement with Dev Chabbra. To our surprise, he will also insult the Chabbra family.
Dev Chabbra is Illegitimate Son of the Chabbras
Shakti Oberoi mentioned how a year ago they had no idea that the Chabbras have a son named Dev and now Priyanka is getting married to him. This worries Shivaay Singh Oberoi. He then inquires about the Chabbras without mentioning the same to anybody.
In the coming episode, we will see that Shivaay will break the engagement just when Priyanka will be putting the ring on Dev’s finger. He will not only insult Dev but also the Chabbras for hiding this fact from them.
Shivaay, who gives a lot of weightage to bloodline and family reputation will then express his displeasure over Dev’s background and also affront him in front of everybody. This will annoy Priyanka not only because she likes Dev, but because Dev has already told her the truth in their first date.
Priyanka Already Knows Dev’s Truth
Though the entire family gets to know the truth post Shivaay’s announcement, it will be shown that Priyanka already knows Dev’s truth. However, she hides from everybody as she likes Dev and wants the roka to be done before anything happens in the family.

So, Shivaay’s behaviour will infuriate her. She will be angry on her Shivaay bhaiya for breaking her rishta with Dev and insulting them. No wonder, Priyanka is already impress with Dev’s honesty. This will create a bit of rift between the brother and the sister.
Will Shivaay Agree to Priyanka and Dev’s Match in Ishqbaaz?
Well, only Anika can convince Shivaay Singh Oberoi and now that Priyanka wants to marry Dev, she will ensure that she makes Shivaay understand. In the upcoming episode, we will see how Anika in her own style attempts to persuade Shivaay to look beyond class, bloodline etc.
