Finally all the theory that Sheena Bora was born out of a forced physical relationship between Indrani Mukerjea and her father comes to a halt. The real biological father, a certain Siddartha Das has come out in the open revealing the fact that he indeed is the father of both Sheena Bora and Mikhail Bora. The Kolkata resident is even ready to undergo a DNA test to confirm the same.

What’s more Siddhartha Das wants Indrani Mukerjea to be hanged if she is found guilty in the murder of Sheena Bora. He is aghast that Indrani Mukerjea addressed Sheena as her sister and even killed her for not one but many reasons.

This so called biological father who is out in the open and even ready to undergo a DNA test to prove his claims, to our surprise never met his children after he and Indrani Mukerjea got separated in 1989. While, his mother said they (Siddhartha and Indrani) were married, Siddhartha maintained that he was never married to Indrani and they had a live-in relationship for about 3 years.

Whatever Siddhartha Das is doing today to get justice for his deceased daughter, if he would have done when she was alive perhaps she would have been alive today. Why did he leave his biological children? Why he never tried to make a contact with them? Why he never went to the Bora house in Guwahati to meet his children? Why he didn’t try to keep a tab on their life? Sadly, this man was absolutely clueless about anything and everything in Sheena and Mikhail’s life.

Accepted that he and Indrani were not together but what about the kids who had nowhere to go? At least, Indrani somehow tried to manage the kids with the grandparents and didn’t send them in some anath ashram. So going in that direction, if we compare Indrani with Siddhartha, she was certainly a good parent. Had Siddhartha Das taken the responsibility of the kids or at least one kid, had he regularly tried to make a contact with his children, the story would have been totally different – Sheena Bora would have been Sheena Das today, not resting in peace but living a peaceful life somewhere.

In a way, Siddhartha Das is also responsible for Sheena Bora’s murder although he never planned it or strangulated her to death unlike Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver. In her statement, Indrani Mukerjea said that she hated her daughter Sheena but she never killed her. Before being judgmental on how a mother can hate her daughter, let us see the other side.

Indrani was only 17 when she got separated from Siddhartha Das. She was ambitious and didn’t want the burden of her two kids to fall upon her career or a bright personal life that she dreamt for herself. This is the reason why she kept them with her grandparents and moved away from Guwahati only to return in 2004 as Mrs. Peter Mukerjea. Note that Indrani in these years was not only away from her kids but also her parents.

Perhaps she hated Sheena Bora because she took her as a hindrance in her life – The life which she got after so much of hard work. Both Indrani Mukerjea and Siddhartha Das dumped their children to start a new life, while Indrani is labeled as a vamp, Siddhartha Das is not being judged for abandoning his children. What’s more, after being out of the circle and living a normal life without bothering about his children, he now wants to see Indrani hanged for her crime.

Had Indrani Mukerjjea self-sacrificed her life for her two kids, she would have been termed as a “Devi” a role model who despite all odds and hardships tried to manage everything for her kids, but today she is labeled as a “vamp” for simply stating her daughter as her sister for personal gains. Admit it or not, a woman in our society has to be self-sacrificing.

Going by all the latest developments and circumstances in Sheena Bora Murder Case, Indrani Mukerjea as a parent turns out to be less guilty than Siddhartha Das. Nevertheless, if Indrani Mukerjea is guilty of murdering Sheena Bora, Siddhartha Das too has a role in it which apparently is beyond kanoon ke lambe haath!
