According to researchers, stress is a sort of physical, mental and emotional outburst in different day-to-day situations which may cause physical & mental fatigue or breakdown. But employees stress is now becoming a burning issue for any corporate. The organizations are also likely to yield less profit because a worker under stress is also demotivated and less productive in comparison to others. It may result in some serious health issues.
This research based article would briefly describe few important pointers related to work-related stress on women employees & its impact on the work productivity.
Women Employees, Stress & Productivity: The Co-Relation
Some of the major stressors for a business woman may be categorized into factors like the long hour working assignments, low pay band, poor work-life symmetry, safety concerns, monster at the top and so on. Since 40% of the working population in India are females, organizations need to establish a framework of enhancing eustress where work should be fun for females because by default they are better managers than males who are just bigger in their sizes.There should be some constant innovative practices to draw out profit from the female managers with a soothing humanitarian touch. Because of their inherent creativity, females can take any organization to a different level because they don’t have stability issues at all. Usually they do more and expect less. It’s all about women empowerment initiatives.
Let us discuss some concrete strategies to manage the distress quotient causing vivid tension worldwide:
First, we need to change our typical mindset and approach towards a female counterpart. Egalitarianism ideology along with a punch of methodical counselling and micro- training for females should be initiated. In broader terms ,we should not go for any gender bias or nepotism towards a specific gender. No disparity at all.
Global Mentoring & Leadership Programmes for working woman are becoming too popular these days. Super-mom,world’s best wifey and a career woman are just a few compliments to the fraternity. Such avenues are proving as wonders of our time.More such steps to be taken along with a clear strategy for higher education promotions.
QWL, Flexi working,cultural & recreational tours,equal opportunity to showcase the talent, family policies, anti-discrimination policies,zero tolerance, multi-channel communications, merit–based appraisal are some of the landmark achievements in this field of study.
Hence we need to diagnose the problems causing stress for working woman and the methods to deal with such stressful circumstances. Lots of researches to be done to get a thumb rule.Work in itself can be self –promoting if we have a farsight and no blurred vision & stereotyping in both corporate and non-corporate sectors.We need to eliminate many Indian practices in the woman -talent management because these might be obsolete in many parts of the ever changing globe.
Negative stress to be discarded to establish a spiritual discourse which highly needed in this crucial juncture of a paradigm shift for betterment.
