Star Plus serials were once known for the famous saas bahu saga and often criticized for the same. The long dreary Star Plus TV serials focusing on family drama got a lot of wrath from the viewers who then switched to others channels including Zindagi for some quality show.

P.O.W – Bandi Yuddh Ke – One of the Must Watch Star Plus TV Serials

Directed by Nikhil Advani the serial POW – Bandi Yuddh ke focuses on the lives of two prisoners of war – Sartaaj Singh and Imaan Khan who return to India after 17 years. However, the homecoming has another twist as an officer suspects them to be agents of Pakistani army.

He is the opinion that they still haven’t escaped the prison in real sense. With brilliant story, plot, cinematography as well as cast including Purab Kohli and Sandhya Mridul, the serial is indeed a fresh change.

Star Plus Serial – Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil

Drashti Dhami and Arjun Bijlani of Naagin fame are back together in yet another Ekta Kapoor show. This Star Plus serial is inspired from the 1997 film Pardes starring Shah Rukh Khan and Mahima Chowdhury.

This is a story of a girl who sets out on a journey alone in a different country – Austria.

With Bollywood songs running behind the background, Drashti Dhami’s superb presence and Arjun BIjlani’s acting, this serial in a way represents the Nayi Soch principle which Star Plus has been advertising from so long.

Chandra Nandni

This is a historical fiction based on the life of Chandragupta Maurya. Again an Ekta Kapoor production, the serial is entertaining though there are a lot of discrepancies when compared to the available texts and documents.

Looks like the serial have been made from all the conspiracy theories available rather than the obvious notes.

The two main stars of the serial – Rajat Tokas and Shweta Basu Prasad as Chandra and Nandini along with the supporting cast further add spice to the serial by their brilliant performance and presentation.

Ishqbaaaz

Story of three brothers – Shivaay, Omkara and Rudra, this serial of Star Plus centers on the lives of the Oberoi brothers. Now that the serial Ishqbaaaz focuses on several topics including Drug abuse, Law of attraction, orphanage, and the brotherly love instead of dhoka, and deceit, this serial too is a welcome change for the viewers.
