Justin, the son of Chandragupta Maurya and Helena is a character that draws lot of attention in Colors TV show – Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. Sandwiched between his mother’s ambition and Rani Noor’s love, Justin is that man in the show who has no control over his life at all.

Though he is an antagonist in the show, he does have our love and sympathy. Here, are the 5 reasons as to why the viewer loves Rajkumar Justin (Sumit Kaul)
Rajkumar Justin is a True Lover
Not everybody is lucky enough to win their true love and Justin surely comes under that category. His love story is quite tragic. When he saw Noor, it was love at first sight for him. However, Noor married Samrat Bindusar. When Bindusar expressed his unconditional love for Devi Dharma, Noor got so dejected that she finally understood Justin’s love for her.
The two consummated their love, and Justin never married anybody because he loved Rani Noor unconditionally. But, now that the couple (Noor – Justin) is truly, madly and deeply in love with each other, Justin is being forced to marry another girl – Rajkumari Agni Shikha of Ujjain.
He is not Bad, But in the company of Bad People
A quick glance at Rajkumar Justin, and you’ll know how the good boy is under the influence of bad people – his mother Helena and grandfather Selecus Nicator. One of the good traits about Rajkumar Justin is the fact that he doesn’t believe in revenge on Magadh unlike his mother and grandfather. He is just neutral about the whole thing because he knows he can never become the Maurya Samrat.
He Respects Women and Treats Them Well
Normally in historical fictions the son of any influential antagonist is haughty, womanizer and an evil person. However, Justin is exactly opposite here in Colors’ Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. He is not only calm, quiet and peaceful, but also respects women equally. For instance, he could have shunned Agnishikha at any given time, still he respects her and tries not to disappoint her or hurt her feelings in any way.
Despite Being a Victim, He Never Complains
Rajkumar Justin’s story is indeed very tragic in the fictional Ashoka serial. In spite of being the elder son, he never became the Samrat. While, his mother kept on complaining and making fatal strategies which would have dangerous effect even on him, he simply obliged her orders. More than being a victim of anybody else, he is a victim of his mother’s plans and strategies.
His Mistakes Often Fails the Plan of His Evil Mother
Since Rajkumar Justin is not as bad as his mother, he somehow cannot stoop down like his mother. This is the reason wherever Rajmata Helena needs Rajkumar Justin’s help, she fails miserably. And we as an audience love Helena failing each time in her own master game.
This time too we hope Rajkumar Justin in his attempt to rescue Rani Noor spoils Rajmata Helena’s plan forever.
What is your opinion – Do you sympathize with Rajkumar Justin or you hate him for being a member of the wrong side in Colors TV fictional Ashoka series?
