Rajeev Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana  (RGJAY ) is a medical scheme for the people of Maharashtra covering 35 districts including Thane, Raigad, Mumbai and Mumbai suburban. RGJAY scheme covers around 971 therapies/procedures/surgeries with 121 follow up medical packages in 30 categories:

General Surgery, Opthamology Surgery, Orthopedic procedures and surgeries, Cardiac and Cardiothoracic Surgeries, Pediatric Surgery, ENT Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Critical Care, Infectious diseases, Neuro surgery, NEPHROLOGY, NEUROLOGY,  PULMONOLOGY, RHEUMATOLOGY, ENDOCRINOLOGY, GASTROENTEROLOGY, INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY, SURGICAL GASTRO ENTEROLOGY, GENITOURINARY SYSTEM, SURGICAL ONCOLOGY, RADIATION ONCOLOGY, Burns, Poly Trauma, Prosthesis, General Medicine, Pediatrics Medical Management.

Free Operations in Mumbai Under Rajeev Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana – Eligibility

You need to possess either Yellow ration card or Orange ratio card. Holders of white ration card are not eligible. However, if they avail facilities from hospitals/medical colleges which have RGJAY, they will surely spend less than half amount that they will have to pay in the private hospital. Also, the quality of the operation will be way better than most of the so-called stand alone and speciality hospitals that loot money from people in the name of surgeries and medical procedures.
